Activities, beaches and services
on Lac de Serre-Ponçon (05)
Just a stone’s throw from Embrun town center, the lake is Serre-Ponçon’s main leisure center. On 27 hectares of water fed directly by the Durance, grassy beaches, water sports activities, pumptrack, padel and shops make this site a living space in its own right, summer and winter alike.
Coming to the Embrun water park
The lake is on avenue du Lac, 2 kilometers from Embrun town center. Several parking lots are available in the immediate vicinity: the main shaded parking lot is subject to a charge during the season, while free parking spaces are also available on the outskirts of the site.
For parking-free access, the Vaï shuttle runs from the town center to the lake from Monday to Saturday, and every day in July and August. Timetables are available on the Vaï network website.
On the water
In summer, the lake’s water temperature is slightly higher than that of Lac de Serre-Ponçon: a detail that makes all the difference to a day’s swimming or water sports. The grassy beaches are shaded, equipped with showers, and have been awarded the Blue Flag label since 2015. They are supervised throughout the summer season.
Pedal boats and paddleboats
Pedal boats and paddles are available for hire on the lake, for a quiet outing with family or friends.
Club Nautique Alpin (CNA)
The Club Nautique Alpin de Serre-Ponçon offers introductory and advanced courses in optimist, rowing, catamaran, windsurfing and wing foil, for all levels, from beginner to experienced sailor.
